No special console download and no paid access. Add an available MCGateway bot, wait for the automatic friend acceptance, then join MCGateway Hub.

Add a bot
Open Play, choose the Friends button, search for an available MCGateway bot, and add it. You can add several available bots if you want.

Wait for MCGateway
Friend acceptance is automatic. It usually takes around 20 to 30 seconds and can take up to 60 seconds.

Join the Hub
Open your Friends tab and join the world named MCGateway Hub once it appears.

Add your server
Open the Hub menu with the robot or Ender Pearl, choose Add Server, enter the Bedrock IP and port, then transfer. Server Codes work too.
If MCGateway does not appear after 60 seconds, try another available bot. If Minecraft has been open for a while, restarting the game often refreshes the Friends list.

Is MCGateway free?
Yes. The core MCGateway transfer service is free and is intended to remain free. Donations and optional server-owner services are separate from basic access.
What devices does MCGateway work on?
MCGateway works with Minecraft Bedrock on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, mobile, and other Bedrock devices. Consoles benefit the most because their normal custom-server options are more limited.
Can I join any Bedrock server?
Yes, as long as the destination is a valid Bedrock or Bedrock-compatible server and normal server rules allow you to connect. Incorrect addresses, offline servers, Java-only servers, or allowlists can still block a connection.
Do I need to give MCGateway my Microsoft password?
No. MCGateway does not ask for your Microsoft or Discord password. Minecraft-to-Discord linking uses a temporary code instead of asking you to sign in through MCGateway.
