MCGateway is a free Minecraft Bedrock gateway that helps players, especially Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch users, join custom Bedrock servers through Minecraft's Friends tab. Add an MCGateway access bot, join MCGateway Hub, then choose the server you want.

Yes. The core MCGateway transfer service is free and is intended to remain free. Donations, Featured Server placement, and any optional premium features explored in the future are separate from basic gateway access.

MCGateway works with Minecraft Bedrock on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, mobile, and other supported Bedrock devices. The Minecraft friend-search method works across supported Bedrock devices.

No special console download is required. Add an available MCGateway bot through Minecraft or your Microsoft/Xbox friends, then join MCGateway Hub from Minecraft's Friends tab.

Use the bot recommended on the Bots page, or add any bot marked Available. MCGateway favors bots with safe capacity and recent successful activity rather than simply choosing the emptiest account.

Yes. You can add several available bots. MCGateway automatically sorts duplicate assignments so you do not need to worry about adding too many.

Friend acceptance is automatic. A single bot usually responds in about 20 to 30 seconds and can take up to 60 seconds. Adding multiple available bots can make the first response arrive sooner.

Open Minecraft Bedrock, choose Play, open the Friends area, search for the recommended MCGateway bot, and add it. Once the bot adds you back, join the world named MCGateway Hub. In the Hub, interact with the robot or use the provided Ender Pearl to open the menu, choose Add Server, enter the Bedrock IP and port, give it a name, and transfer.

The most common cause is adding a bot that has filled up. If nothing appears after 60 seconds, add another Available bot. If Minecraft has been open for a while, restart the game so the Friends list refreshes.

MCGateway does not restrict players to a fixed server list. If the destination is a valid Minecraft Bedrock server, or is Bedrock-compatible through software such as Geyser, MCGateway can attempt the connection. Normal Minecraft and server-side restrictions still apply.

First, double-check the IP and port. Typos are the most common cause. Other common reasons include the destination being offline, a Java-only server without Bedrock compatibility, or a server allowlist that does not include you.

A Server Code is a short MCGateway code that points to a server address so players do not have to type the full IP and port. Server Codes are free to set up through a ticket in the official Discord.

No. To request one, open a Discord ticket and provide the IP, port, server name, and the code you would like. The server does not have to belong to you.

It can. To keep friend slots available, MCGateway may remove players from access-bot friend lists after about one month of inactivity. If that happens, simply add an available bot again when you return.

Yes. The Hub supports saved servers, favorites, recent-server history, Server Codes, Auto Join, and server-related settings so repeat visits can be much faster.

Auto Join lets you configure MCGateway to send you toward a preferred saved server automatically on future visits instead of opening the full server menu every time.

No. Transfers are its main purpose today, but the Hub also includes player profiles, Discord linking, statistics, Infinite Parkour, PvP, settings, feedback tools, and other community features. MCGateway plans to expand the Hub further over time.

No. MCGateway does not ask for your Microsoft password or require you to sign in through an MCGateway website.

Discord linking uses a temporary code that connects the Minecraft side and Discord side of the request. MCGateway does not ask for your Discord password or require you to hand over account credentials.

No. MCGateway does not sell player information. Service history is used to operate features, maintain reliability, diagnose problems, and produce statistics. Private identifiers and private transfer destinations are not published on the public website.

Open a ticket in the official MCGateway Discord. Server owners can request free Server Codes, ask about a Featured Server placement, or discuss a partnership.

Featured Server placement is currently $5 per month. That price may change in the future if demand grows enough that featured space needs to be limited.

No special MCGateway permission is required for a normal connection. The destination server's own rules, allowlists, compatibility, and permissions still apply.

MCGateway's measured service uptime is currently around 99.9%. The Hub, backend systems, access bots, and service data are monitored continuously so problems can be detected and recovered from quickly.

No. MCGateway is being built as a long-term community service. The core gateway is intended to remain free, and there are no plans to shut it down.

MCGateway is not built around forced ads, pop-ups, video ads, or ad gates that users must sit through to transfer. Unobtrusive sponsorship or in-world advertising may be explored in the future to help fund the service without obstructing the player experience.

MCGateway generally avoids banning users for ordinary mistakes or harmless behavior. Severe abuse such as hacking, attacking the service, or trying to steal data can result in stronger action. Repeated spam or unwanted promotion may result in a mute.
